On the Nikon, B&H and Adorama the D850 price is $3,296.95, while 42nd street has a $2,679 price. I thought these were fair traded. Is this a grey market camera? There has to be something amiss

Stick to the ABCs (Adorama, B&H, Cameta) - all Nikon authorized dealers. Your question says it all - the lowball price is “too good to be true” - it’s really just that simple.

You are 100% right when said "There has to be something amiss" : THERE SURE IS: their honesty and work ethics - my suggestion is for you to do an "about face" and run as fast and far as you can from this place.
B&H, Adorama, Keh are good and honest people to deal with.

The Holy Grail....what a classic movie! So many fantastically funny segments is impossible for me to pick a favorite. Thanks for the memory and now I have to download it.

Since you are from Ft. Wayne, you might consider buying your camera from Roberts, a reputable and highly regarded source in your own backyard.

Check out Roberts, I’ve purchased from them before, and they have an excellent reputation.

Stay away from 42nd. Street!

Here's an interesting read. Some good and not so much. Buyer beware.

Run fast. You get what you pay for.

I just bought a factory refurbed D850 from Samy's. I checked the number of clicks...after I shot a few hours and it still only has 200 clicks!

It is not grey market. It has the full warranty and a great return policy by Samy's. I paid $2800 for the camera and $139 for 3 year full extended...drop insurance.

I buy only from Samy's, B&H and Adorama. Samy's is local for me, the others are my go to mail order.

Happy Holidays!

Most here and I would recommend staying far away from 42nd st. You can use the Search function to find many posts about them.

They may also use the following ploy: 1) Want just the camera body? Magically your order never gets filled. 2) Willing to buy camera with a lens or an accessory package at a high mark up that would cover the difference from legitimate retail body camera price to their body asking price? If yes, then order 'surprisingly' does gets filled.

This happened to me back in 2004 with either this company or another company when I attempted to order my first digital camera (Canon point and shoot). When I tried to just get the camera only (at their low asking price), the order would never get filled/shipped despite ordering twice by phone. When I broke down and ordered the camera with one of the accessory packages, suddenly order filled and shipped quickly. Basically a bait and switch deal so they end up at retail or close to retail price in the end.

I bought my d750 from them a couple of years ago. Nikon replaced the shutter after a recall. No problems.

What, you don't want to save over $600.00. I say call them right now and order it. Go ahead, I DARE you.
