I think the first photo fails because it is crooked. The verticals are not vertical. The horizon is not level.

Architecture 2, Abstract 1
IMHO: Architecture 1 kind of looks like a vacation pic; Architecture 2 is very nice work with dynamic shapes, both soft and hard lines that steal your eye, various soft, warm colors; abstract 1 has great lines with fascinating holes and a beautiful saturated green color with just enough texture; abstract 2 is not particularly interesting; abstract 3 doesn't have a focus point; abstract 4 was my 2nd choice.
