The Gray seal can be distinguished from the smaller harbor seal by its straight head profile, widely set nostrils and fewer spots on its body. Adult males (bulls) can measure up to 11 feet long and weigh nearly 900 pounds in the species’ western Atlantic range. Adult females (cows) are smaller, measuring up to 6 feet and weighing as much as 550 pounds.

Amur Tiger This image shows the upper limits of the EOS 5DIII when shooting at ISO-6400 and processing the results extensively from an original dark image. My success above ISO-5000 on this model has been limited and I've avoided situations where the light is too dark to capture a useful image.

Another fine set Paul. I always enjoy your posts as they usually contain a good write up to go with the photos...

Great captures, timing and composition super. Thanks for sharing.
Your zoo pics are always far better than most. Nice set.
Thank you Ken, Bruce, Tradio, W90D, CPR, Frank, Bill! I just finished 2-days at wonderful zoos in Florida, but it will be weeks before that work is edited and ready for sharing. Hopefully, some older work from the archives, such as these images, will continue to be of interest. Glad you enjoyed.
Very fine series, the tiger is my fav.
Great images. Sisters is my favorite but they are all fantastic.
Wish I was there! Great photos!
Always love your Zoo shots. Makes me want to jump in the car, and go in there. It’s been a while.
