What happened

I am using a Sony RX10iii. I did not know this was happening until I opened them on the computer.
Both shots were taken, one after the other. 90 % of the shots taken looked like this. I did not make any changes
to the camera. What could make something like this happen. Normally everything is great. I kind of like it, but I
would like to control what it's doing.
Help Please.

It is NOT the same shot if vegetation and angles (lighting) within the scene have moved/changed.

Some sort of 'Stylised' setting , by the look of the first image. Check in the Custom Settings programme of the camera.

The first has the Picture Effect set to "Illustration."

Also, you should consider setting your date and time to current. You never know when you'll want to know

Yes, Linda is correct. I had that same thing happen with my Sony DSC-HX80 one day while taking pictures through a bus window while on an Honor Flight tour. So far, it hasn't happened on my Sony RX10iii or A6000.
