Are there any books on Macro photography that are worth me buying/studying?

For what it's worth. John Shaw's books, tho SLR and not digital have good info. The basics are important. He covers those well. Then, If you follow this forum and ask questions, you will be enrolled in an excellent course. Then, "endever to persivere".

There are some videos on Youtube which could be helpful as well as books. Nice choice of lens, you will become addicted.

I've bought several books and have found each one has it's own strong points and secrets. I found the extra investment very worthwhile. I also viewed several posts on YouTube and found good info there. An interesting point I experienced was after shooting different settings, the info in the books became even better! Have fun and take lots of pictures!!!
