Yes the stark cold of the lake does stand out... Yet in the summer with the sun setting on the same area gives that shot a whole different feel

Thanks for reminding me how fortunate i am to be living where i do though i wish the temp. would quit hitting the 90s.

YUK! Grew up near downtown Chicago and in my youth loved the snow; not any more. A dusting now and then is fine for a day or two and a few pics, then ADIOS! Snow yesterday and The Big Red Noise, aka...Santa, arrives at Bass Pro in Bolingbrook around 5 pm today. When ya work retail your holiday spirit is gone before Thanksgiving arrives. BAH HUMBUG!

I totally understand your feelings... I worked for 7 years in retail (Home Depot)... Yes it made me sick to have Christmas stuff out before Thanksgiving... It gets earlier and earlier every year...
