Sorry--thought “this” was obvious. “This" is the message in the post.

Sorry....so I'm not qualified because my country brethren didn't have ties to the church? I guess you forgot about my First Amendment right to freedom of speech?
I guess the term "forcibly" is what got your panties in a wad?
You have a constitutional right to speak. Obviously there is no law that mandates telling the truth or being correct because you would be gone already.

I'm not sure what I said that was untrue.....even posted links to my references. And if the law required telling the truth, there would be no more politicians.

I'll bet you took your mortgage deduction and deductions for the children you raised (another form of welfare) Of course those funds given to you by the government are just fine. The money given to the government by poor and wealthy alike made up the above funding. Then again there is the funding of roads, the military, food safety, drug safety, medical care, scientific research, etc all funded by the government are fine because they benefit you. So just what are you prepared to give up and just how much are you prepared to donate for allowing to live in a civil society?
I am curious just what means of production the government manages and dictates as to what is produced. Do inform me.

I'm sorry Architect1776, if I stepped on a nerve. I was born and raised in Palmyra, New York....the birthplace of Joseph Smith and the Mormon religion. Each summer, we opened our home to Mormon families, who came to participate in the Mormon Pageant, at Hill Cumorah, where Angel Moroni presented the golden plates to Joseph Smith. Thousands of Mormons from around the world descend on this small town each year with no violence or need to hire additional security. I have great respect for the LDS church and it's members. I think my experiences are far beyond those of fake news sources...and I have lived it first hand.
Don't make this political? Socialism is a political disease!
My comment was directed at the socialistic attitude of "let the government take from the rich to give to the poor." In most cases, the poor are poor for a reason. I believe in charity and am personally very generous. I just have a problem with someone else taking my money without my direction.

I agree with some of your premise, ole sarg. I have no mortgage or children or rental property, so that is not an issue with me. I am retired with a limited income...so I pretty much pay "my share" as identified in the tax tables. BUT, only a fool would not take those deductions that are allowed in the tax law.
I do enjoy living in a civilized, modern society with all the benefits you mentioned. And yes, those cost $$$, and taxation is how the government generates income to operate.
Of course, with the government comes enormous overhead, waste and unnecessary expense. Boondoggle projects, overspending, over-reach, etc. I don't like bureaucrats (read as non-elected pawns over which the populous has no control.) having great discretion to make regulations (only the legislature can make laws) that affect our society. Wow....that's a heavy thought.
Just like our president (and those before him), Mitt Romney, and every other American who has been accused of not paying their fair share.....I take only those deductions allowed me by law. I personally believe that the present tax code is flawed....but therein lies another discussion.
I'm not sure where your problem with my comments, arose. Is it because I vehemently oppose Socialism? If so, you don't understand me at all.

It does and so does the country. Actually so do I. When country is going in the correct
direction the flag will be fine. Currently
It is doing what it is supposed to do given this political climate.

It is your right to go against the Flag code and you know you are. It's also completely selfish on your part and accomplishes nothing constructive.

Are you saying, "Not my President?"
If so, you have no stake in this conversation. You would be a traitor.

Actions speak louder than words. Desecration or improper display of the American flag speaks volumes about the perpetrator.

No one said anything about “Not my President” so why bring it up. It would be like me asking if you quit screwing dogs ( have you?). Nothing to do with topic at hand. Your hero will be gone soon enough. His narrow path to a repeat is gone.

Wow. That comment is way over the top. And you seem to know my political opinions? I hope you don't own a firearm....cause you are .....
BTW: My intimacy with with dogs is none of your business. <big grin>
Some people just need to redirect their interests (read this as "get a life").
Yes, fools come in many flavors.
