The leaves in New England were spotty at best. Mt. Equinox did a brown out over the Columbus Day weekend as a result of warm temps and a lot of rain. Parts of Southern Vermont managed some color later on but all-in-all the leaves were late in turning this year. I tend to prefer to late autumn when the trees are stripped and fog is a possibility.

Early morning snow heading up to summit (by car). Fog is a photographer's greatest asset.

Fog lifted rather quickly. The dusting of snow was gone shortly afterwards.

Along the shore. Two years ago at this time the shore was a good ten feet from the current edge due to a dry summer and fall. That is not a problem in New England this year.

You did a wonderful job of using iffy weather to your advantage. Nice work.
Nice photos! Here in the southeast it went from hot to cold with lots of rain and the fall colors just were not that great. Good job of working around your weather.
Thanks for looking and commenting.

Thanks. The only weather that is an absolute contraindication to outdoor shooting is thunder and lightning. Got some great shots during the downpours at the Boston Marathon this year. Was asked to do some winter shots up in VT. Looking for gloves with retractable fingers. Last winter I could not feel my hands after ten minutes.

Thanks for looking. Eventually the leaves in MA got gorgeous but at least ten days to two weeks later than normal. Glad I wasn't running foliage tours.

Thanks. Alas, I cannot transmit the cool damp and the aromas in that scene.
