The Minnesota Zephyr's 787 and 788 sit quietly in Alamosa, CO at the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad railyard. The two F-7A units are parked along with a Carolina Southern F-7A and F-7B. This photo was taken in Oct 2018.
My Memory of the F7-A Diesel Train engine was in Greensburg, PA, back in the late 1950's and early 1960's when we took my Grandmother to the Station to catch the big Green P.R.R. Engine pull in and pick up Grandma and take her to Philadelphia to visit her Sister. Still see them occasionally online, but they are just "Specials", not regular service trains, Amtrak is today's regular passenger service.
