What you have found there is a totally different model by the same company. That is the panoramic QP-Pro head that is similar in design to the Wimberly that I mentioned before. As different from what I have as a Wimberly is from a ball head. You will see from my pictures that the two have nothing in common aside from the manufacturers name. The head I have is not a component and is already somewhat larger that the QP-Pro head.
But thanks for looking.

My camera closet scares me sometimes! Seems like every time I dive into it looking for something, I find 3 things I didn't even remember I had! (The dust on this kind of tells that story!)
I was digging out my Nikon 500mm F4 to put it up for sale as I haven't used it in months, not since getting my 800mm F5.6.
That sure sounds like bragging to me.
Now that we are all jealous, when can we help you clean out that closet!!! I'm ready.
Hey! Look what I found in my closet! (jus zee lens boss, jus zee lens!)

I think the lens outweighs the model!!!

Seriously, one of those Canon 1200mm F5.6 lenses is actually for sale used at B&H, asking price is a mere $120,000!!!!!!

I used a Kaidan QuickPan head in the mid 1990's. It looked like this, but I don't remember the model number (QP-1B on your picture).

It was paired with an Apple digital camera called the Quick Take. The project was both studio setting and PhotoShop for a high-end upholstered furniture manufacturer and was intended to show potential designers or customers what their fabric would look like on an existing frame.

We were moderately successful in getting the fabric to look correct, but it was not commercially successful - the clientele weren't ready for digital images at that time.

Well it has found a good home. Thanks all for the help, I am hoping the buyer sends some pics of what he is planning to do with it. I probably sold it way too cheap! LOL
