A good example of "Street Photography", it definitely tells a story of a variety of possibilities to the viewer, A Menu, A notice of "No Pets allowed", the hours opened and closed, A lost Pet, etc.

I’d guess they’re trying to figure out if the dog can go in, too.

Sorry--my eyes aren’t that good. They still might be wondering about the dog.

Perhaps they wonder if dog is on the menu. They wouldn't want to take their dog in there. One of your better shots Voss.

I have always been amused by those pervasive signs about height restrictions for going unto amusement rides. I reached my 80% when I was in early grade school. I can imagine the thought bubble on the dog, "But I'm old enough!"

Maitre D: "I am sorry. The 'child' is still too short to enter. We measure by the height of the snout. Not by the height of the tail."

Hot dog! That was my second vein.

An aside: Many restaurants serve baby goats. Just look for their *Kids* menu.

Query. It looks like there may be two bouncers, one on each side inside the doorway. Was this the case? It does add to the story.
