Most UHH folks probably know the
http://www.dpreview.com/ website. I'm very new here, but just wanted to say that dpreview's excellent camera/lens/etc. review and comparison features were wonderful in helping me find a camera and lens that fit my needs and budget.
I've visited this site many times over the years. Very informative but sometimes people in the forums get a bit intense. Reviews are quite thorough though.
Here is another site to visit:
http://photozone.de/Hope this helps. Cheers,
Tim
Thanks Tim. I'll take a look and bookmark it. You are right about some getting too intense, and far too many making critical comparisons between cameras/lenses in very different price ranges. I just ignore most of that stuff. :-) I like your signature quote - been there done that, huh, still doing it. :-) Flip
I like your signature quote!
Keeps me grounded and lifted, if you know what I mean. :-)
Yes, and very thankful. :-)
Here's another one I just ran across tonight:
http://www.the-digital-picture.com/This ambitious site has a thorough selection of
Canon lens reviews in particular. It appears that they are still fleshing out the reviews on Nikon lenses. They provide detailed specs on over 100 Canon lenses, about 75 Nikons and an assortment of Sigma, Tamron and Zeiss'. Also included are actual test shots showing lens vignetting, flare & distortion, etc. I am exploring there now...
Thanks. I'll check out that site.
