Hi Gregory. Nice photos! I didn't know they would be smart enough to tear the legs off. But...are you sure that's a Little Blue? Looks like a Reddish Egret to me.

Thanks, Chief. That is a Little Blue, much smaller and bluer than a Reddish Egret, Reddish Egret is a gray blue, much lighter. and twice the size. The Little Blue kept pulling and tossing it until the legs started to pull away. First time I have seen one eat a crab. This is a young Reddish Egret, hasn't got the dark red feathers on his neck, yet, just turning a light red
