I never post a review or a comment - don't want a comment to possibly pop up and bite me; reviews - if they would pay me for the advertising I would consider doing a review. They don't so I won't.

I recently was told two of my reviews could not be posted to Amazon as it violated their policy. ¤The review of the first product mentioned I had 4-8 days shipping and product took over 10 days to arrive.
¤ Second banned review mentioned still waiting for delivery after 15 days.
I was offered to upgrade delivery for a price...

How many reviews have you made on Amazon?

Hundreds, and they would occasionally send me a notice telling me how many people had viewed them.

If you tried to post that as a product review it makes sense they rejected it, that needs to be seller feedback. The time that a seller takes to ship an order has nothing to do with the product itself.

Interesting that they don't ban you from spending your money there though.

Exactly how do they do that?

Someone sent me this article. I posted a while back that I was banned from posting anything on Amazon because I had violated their policies. I have no idea what I did or when I did it. A phone call to Amazon was no help. Their generic response said something about having a relationship with a seller. That doesn't apply to me.

I would occasionally post questions about an item, but I can no longer do that. Play it safe and don't post reviews on Amazon.

Call me an old fogey, but any company as big as Amazon and that allows foreign nationals in countries where the laws means nothing to access their systems really has no idea what is happening.

I refuse to buy from Amazon for that reason and many others.

That’s good to know, thank you for sharing it, Jerry, and I’m sorry that happened to you.

It seems an Amazon third-party marketer sold you a product that was contrary to Amazon standards. Did you complain to Amazon about the problem?

A couple of posts had the best suggestions for dealing with the issue. Just don't shop on Amazon. I have had problems with some of their vendors, (although I eventually got refunds) so I choose not to help pad Jeff Bezo's bank account, and shop locally, and if I can't get what I need there, I look online at businesses not connected to the tentacles of Amazon. At some point we will all regret the fact that we helped to create a monopoly of such a magnitude, when we can't buy a loaf of bread at the local quickmart.

I was banned from Ugly Hedgehog a few years ago when I inadvertently clicked on 'Spam' instead of 'Delete' for one of their emails when I was finished with it. So I signed up again with a different email address.

I am surprised. I've called items "a piece of junk" or "completely useless" and so forth, and not (yet) banned from Amazon.

Excellent idea.
Many of us rely on the reviews we read on Amazon so, if Amazon is messing around with deleting the not so favorable reviews this is going to severely impact what we buy from them. I guess we just go back to Consumer Reports and hope they are reviewing whatever it is that we need.
