Golden Hour giveth and taketh away

I stalked this juvenile GBH for about 35 minutes to get close. By the time I got close enough (about 35 yards) the light was perfect "golden hour" exactly 1 hour before sunset. I was using my "highlight blinkies" to check for proper exposure and as I shot, was able to adjust my exposure compensation. Continued my stalk and, upon post editing found that the "golden light" was a blessing right up until my subject decided to take flight...DIRECTLY into the sun.
