Hi Guys
I"m John and I live in the UK
I retired in 2015 and have rekindled my love of photography. (be it still learning)
Can anyone advise where I can buy a manual shutter release cable for a Nikon P900
Cheers
John
Hi
[ have tried ebay and Amazon , but it seems they only do remote wireless shutter release.
I am looking for a manual cable shutter release.
I made contact with the Nikon help line , but Nikon do not do a manual cable shutter release yet, Guess I will have to wait until one becomes available.
Thanks for the interest
Cheers
John
Hi Jerry
Yes I think a manual cord release is not available yet
I will have to try a wireless release or delay exposure.
Using the large zoom on the P900 on certain subjects at the top of zoom range you need to use a tripod and not depress shutter by hand.
I will have a go at wireless release
I have not had the P900 that long so still getting use to it.
Thanks
John
If I understand the purpose of this request:
You can simply use the self-timer to avoid the problem.
John, I just did a search for what you're looking for, and wasn't able to find anything. B&H has one for "select" Nikon Coolpix cameras, but it doesn't say which ones. What I did come up with is that you can control the camera with your smart phone, if that might work for you.
I have a P900 and there is no place to attach a cable release. I use a remote and it works fine.

Manual, or conventional cable release, that screw into the center of the shutter release button, are sold at the buggy whip store. Don't hold your breath.
How are you going to attach it? You need one of those electronic releases that plug in on the side of your camera.

There is no connection point. I have a P900 and use a remote quite successfully
