Unfortunately that legal way is being abrogated by the coward in chief. You cannot apply for asylum.

Foreigners do have a RIGHT to enter the United States. Regrettably, we as taxpayers are paying for their housing, food, clothing, medical costs and attempt at educating them.

Well, before deployment of troops the Army will have to do tactical planning. Even now, are there Army planners scouting the border for the best placement of machine gun nests.

No foreigner has a right to enter the US without going thru legal entry procedures. One upon our soil the 14th amendment takes over.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Let's remember posse comitatus. The Army is forbidden from other than support roles within the US. Governors can call out their National Guards, but they aren't able to enforce the border; that is a Federal responsibility.

Oh, yes. Where did you find that little gem about the Army scouting for machine gun nests? Having action dreams, maybe?

I guess you failed to understand the purpose of the troops at this moment in time, they will doing jobs that will allow the Border Patrol to put more of its manpower on the front line at the border. If the news reports differently in the future, I will be happy to notify you.

Yes George, but some fail to understand that those rights apply only to those with their feet on the ground in the United States. I understand that the Caravan is beginning to shrink as many turn back or perhaps have been given asylum in Mexico.

When the Commander-In-Chief hands down an order or directive to the Army the commanders have to plan for all compliance possibilities. They must plan for all Tactical and Strategic possibilites. That refugee crowd is said to be about 3,000 people; at a kill rate of 100 hundreds of rounds per kill the arsenal will need 300,000 rounds deployed.
