I'm shooting indoors.
Just a 1942 Liberty Head dime that someone cut out.

WRONG! Coins are exempt from the specific federal law 18 USC 333, which proscribes criminal penalties against anyone who “mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, or Federal Reserve bank, or the Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt unfit to be reissued.”

Always heard that about coins from my elders, as a child. Never knew it applied to bills. You want to burn a bunch of twenty's??? Go right ahead, but you can be fined, too? Be interesting to see that done to a clad coin. Thanks for the info. Makes one think twice before burning money.😀

It does remind me of a sellers' booth at a recent art fair that I went to. It is funny how certain crafts attract large crowds and buyers and others seem to get little. Anyway this one had a large crowd. The artist used his skills in metal alteration to fashion steam punk style earrings, necklaces, and wrist bands out of antique coins and watches. They had antique coins for example where the persons' face was re-stamped to be a skull.
