Assorted skipper butterflies. I know, busy pics, but I don't have one grain (silver) or one pixel (digital) of artistic talent!
Nothing wrong with these shots. Let us know when you find some talent and shoot some more. LOL.
Excellent shots ottercreek
I do not know about artistry, but these are fine photos!

Thanks, and STILL looking!
Excellent series! Skippers are so cute!
Maybe a little busy but still very nice. Keep shooting!
That's why I took up photography, not a drop of artist in me. I know what I like, but I can't make what I like. Nice photos.

Fantastic images, ottercreek and wish I could do as well and would like to know if you were using a macro lens and a ring or other type of flash on these beauties!

These were shot with a Nikon D500 and Nikon Micro 200mm lens. No flash was used, but I do use a fill flash when necessary. I'm 81 yrs young now, so typically use a tripod or monopod these days, but have always used them when conditions allow. I've used that lens on film cameras, D70, D300, D2X, and D500. I have a Nikon AF Micro 105mm, Nikon bellows, as well as close up lenses, but the working distance allowed by the 200mm Micro is simply amazing. Have owned it since it was first introduced and have used nothing else since for macro work.
