Beautiful colors! I was just in the Blue Ridge mountains last week in Georgia and everything was still green.

Nice shots.
Good to see some areas have color. Here in MD and PA its been pretty blah. They said it was because of all the rain this year and that it was warmer
than normal in sept. and oct.

Very nice photos. I was there a few weeks ago, visiting friends in Staunton, Virginia, and found I was a bit early. I enjoyed looking at your pictures.

Thank you. These were taken on Saturday at the very highest elevations. We had to search for places with good color. There's less red this year and the peak color is one to two weeks later than normal because of unusually hot weather in September and October. There's still a lot of green in the North Carolina portion too, especially in the lower altitudes.

Yes, same here. Warm weather and the remnants of two hurricanes in October will make the color this year much later and more muted. I just read where another hurricane near Texas my hit the NC mountains as well dumping even more water.

Thank you Tommy, I'm glad you enjoyed the shots. It is still a bit early in North Carolina too except in the highest elevations where these were taken.

Thank you Mike. We go every year and because of all the adverse weather conditions leading up to fall this year the color is late and not as good as in previous years. We had to drive to the highest elevations to find color and the reds are not as prevalent as in previous years. It's still mostly yellow and green. I think the color peak may still be a week away.

Extraordinary captures. I sure wish I lived where the colors change but you really brought it to life. Love the winding roads. The colors are spectacular.
