Welcome to the world of E-6 film!

Plus processing ? I meant 12.00 for a roll , processing included ? If it is , that’s a small bargain !
So far though , what I’ve seen , no processing is included .
Even 15 bucks with a mailer would be reasonable . That’s would be less than 50 cents a slide on a roll of 36 .

It’s more than that ; it’s an electronic Polaroid of sorts that can be shared easily . Couple that with the capabilities of an “ electronic darkroom “ and you have a system that’s unbeatable .
However in the area of tonality and color saturation , I’ve yet to see anything replicate the look of Kodachrome .
Ektachrome they’ve come very close .
So is it worth the price ?
Perhaps a few rolls here and there . It’s a novelty now .
However if Kodachrome were ever brought back I think it would be more than a novelty .
Just my observation .😎

Reminds me of the ammo shortage of a few years ago. Sit back, relax, have a scotch and soda or two, shoot some digital and wait for the production to catch up with the demand. We've had those film cameras for years, waiting a couple of months more is not going to kill us.

Does anyone know of a place that has this film in stock?
Thank you in advance.

Call me wacky, but I would try calling or emailing Kodak.

Fuji Provia. But it doesn't have that Kodak "Look".

Whatever that "look" is, it has to be some combination of brightness, contrast, gamma,
color rendering, and grain structure. I would think that could all be massaged in Photoshop
or a similar application to make the Fuji look like the Kodak. Worth a try if the wait for
KODAK is prolonged. Two other places you can try calling are the Boston University Bookstore,
the Harvard University Bookstore, and other big university outlets. Small local camera stores
might just have some by chance. And keep Googling! Good luck.

Kodachrome had a very unique look . I shot Kodachrome for over 30 years almost exclusively because of its “look” in daylight , available light and with flash .
If you’re not sure what that look is , just Google (Kodachrome) and look at the images . Compare that to other slide films .
Of course you may like the Fuji “look” or others , including Ektachrome, which is a less warm film than Kodachrome .
It’s all in the eye of the beholder😎

You may wish to try Freestyle Photographic Supplies....based in Ca. I believe. They currently have Ektachrome 100 professional/36 exp. on sale at just over $12.00 per roll. They also carry many other films such as TriX 400 and they have an excellent library of ancient processes and Dk Rm treatments as well as Color-Reversal and B&W Positive for doing B&W Slides. Good Luck

Freestyle are good folks.

It can be processed as black and white: https://filmphotographyproject.com/content/features/2011/01/kodachrome-2011-process-black-and-white/
After processing the rem-jet backing can be removed by buffing the back of the film with a soft well washed T-shirt. Removal can be difficult thus the following solution softens.
To make 1 liter:
Water 800ml (warm)
Borax 20g
Sodium Sulfate 100g
Sodium Hydroxide 1g

That’s interesting . Thank you . I suppose there will never be a way of turning that film into color again . I understand the chemicals involved were toxic but I wonder if there is some type of formulation that could develop it without the toxity .
I know , I’m dreaming , lol . At least there’s a way now to use the film .
Thanks again !
