Was sitting out by the feeders. Two Hummers were fling around chasing each other and they ran into each other. I think this guy got knocked out. I picked him up and rubbed him for a minute and he came to. Laid in my hand for all most 10 minutes. Then off he went. :) Neat stuff. :):):):)

The warmth of your hand revived him. If one ever runs into your window and is out cold, the best thing to do is cup your hands around him and breathe on him. DO NOT blow your breath on him, breathe normally. Your breath is the temp he needs to wake up and gain enough strength to fly. Same with pet birds.
I was about to take a vacation from UH to get a LOT of painting finished, but I have 3 bird storys that are also strange and I'm going to post them in a few minutes with a few pictures.

How Lucky! What an experience. I've held an injured bird before and got him to fly.
Well youve done it now! Youve touched a Hummer! Things will change now, youll notice Hummers in unlikely places, rearrange your schedule to be where Hummers might be, unknowingly find yourself at the zoo in the Humming Bird enclosure, your yard will be cluttered with humming bird feeders that attract more ants than the national debt, youll carry pictures of baby Hummers in your wallet, family life will wither and your dog will become despondent. Youll need psychiatric care. Youre now a 1%er, youve touched a Hummer. The price youll pay is minuscule, the picture was great and the experience was monumental. Thanks for sharing.

So glad you had your camera handy. The story would be hard to belive without that photo. That will be a keeper.
Thanks for sharing Erv, I never realized the hummers were so tiny. All the photos make me think they're bigger. It was a rewarding act of kindness for you too, nice work.
All the little buzzers will come your way now.
I can just hear them "Pack up your stuff and let's go live at Erv's. If we knock ourselves out, he'll take good care of us!"

Thanks again everyone for looking and the kind words. I was just in the right place. And yes I do feel blessed to have been there. It is heart warming every time think I held him, even if for only a bit.
