After seeing these, I’m selling all my Nikon equipment and returning to quilting.
Most powerful photos of the week Mark!!! Thanks for sharing, there are a few interesting photos in there, a few dramatic with the storm damage but my pick for the absolute most powerful....the wedding photo?
Did read the article, but did not see any pictures anywhere!
Just scroll down. They are there.

See pictures so much better than mine is always depressing!
I felt there were many powerful images. We each see with our own eyes and emotions.
Thanks,
Mark

Thank you, but I tried several times now, no pictures.
Sorry you cannot see them. Must be blocking by your ISP, virus software or some other glitch. I'm wondering about the article you read. Not much verbiage in the link - just one sentence.

No doubt that these are wonderful photos, probably taken by good photographers, but then maybe not. We all know that it's necessary to have our camera ready but more importantly, it's to be in the right place at the right TIME. The image that speaks to me the most is the one of the sad couple mourning the deaths of the people killed in the limousine accident. The lighting is perfect--on her hair, both sides of his face, etc. That lighting could NOT have been planned in advance. But what a powerful picture it is. There's often an element of luck in our best pictures. -- PixieJackie
Thank you for sending, they are all great and worthy of viewing. I encourage those who might become discouraged because thye think their photos can't compete with these to never give up. Celebrate these, and other outstanding photos. I don't know how many caught 60 Minutes this past Sunday 10/14, but if you can watch it on a podcast it is worth it. It was a profile of Joel Sartore, National Geographic, working on his project Photo Ark. I had the honor to watch him work when he was with the Wichita Eagle in the 80's. Watch and listen to his interview.
I didn't have any problem seeing the images but the thing with me was that they were so big I couldn't see the whole picture without scrolling up and down. Right clicking each photo and opening them in another tab cured the problem. That was the situation with my laptop. I think I'll check them out again on my desktop computer with the 24 inch monitor and see what happens there.
