I gave myself an assignment for October since I seem to do better setting goals for myself. It being October and Halloween month, I decided to search around the area where I live and find some "haunted" locations (legends and myths.....or so they say!). This is the first one I've done. It's in a very small, very old cemetery rumored to be haunted by a young civil war soldier, who was killed when his steamship exploded as he was coming home from battle. (this photo is not his grave...better in download). I spent a lot of time in this cemetery....no ghosts that I saw. But did they see me??

That's a Creepy Photo but nice.
That steamship was probably the Sultana that exploded April 27, 1865 killing an estimated 1800 people.
That is a great shot. I like old cemeteries. It's so peaceful and quiet. I've been in over 80 doing genealogy. The ghosts are usually quiet unless they are looking for you.

I'd say yes, you were being watched... How creepy is your image now???
Nice black and white, Audrey.
Thanks, everyone!
EdJ0307: You're correct! It was the Sultana. Lots of lives lost in that explosion. This soldier's body happened to make it back home, but a lot were lost.
rubreuil: Cripe! Next time I'm in that cemetery I'm keeping an eye on that tree! Thanks for pointing it out (I think...)....
Thanks for taking a look and all your nice comments. I have more I'll be posting soon.

Oh, they saw you, Audrey. They just chose to not have you join them. I hope you sleep well.

Great start on your project!
It certainly looks like one of them bent back the bars and escaped.

Just be sure you don't bring anything/anyone home... As always keep shooting....
That section of fence broken away from the pillar is a dead give away that there are ghosts there.
