My wife and I have been taking several drives lately, while the fall colors last. Today we went to Bonner's Ferry in north Idaho, mostly along the Kootenai River.

The Kootenay is a major river in southeastern British Columbia, Canada, and northern Montana and Idaho in the United States. Great shots!! I have risen motorcycles in the area for years. Wonderful country notwithstanding which side of the border you are on.

Thanks so much for sharing these. My wife's great-grandfather lived in this area for a while, I believe. He (Amos P. Dubuque) and his wife (Ruby Moore) resided in Kootenai County, Idaho just prior to WWI. Excellent photos of some pretty country!

It is beautiful up there, sp much so I am planning on relocating up there (sister lives in CdA). I am considering greater Spokane area, but not ruling out ID (retirement tax advantage of WA). Any suggestions?
