Another funny article...... one side cannot be moderate (GOP) when the other side is knuckle dragging, violence inducing, psychotic freaks (the fascist progressive Dems).

You made an error. Here, I'll correct you:

One side cannot be moderate (GOP) when that side buys into the freakish cartoonish misrepresentation of the other side perpetrated by the lying right wing hate media.

All you have to do is look around and see how the Trumpster has brought this country back from those very dark Obummer years.

You mean freaks like the ANTIFA mob that brought Violence to the streets of Portland over the weekend.

So, are you saying that a bunch of mostly teenagers and young radicals who, by their own admission, are generally nihilists who aren't registered as Democrats, don't endorse the Democratic party, and usually don't even vote, are representative of "the other side"? Would that be equivalent to saying that the American Nazi Party is representative of conservatives as a whole or the GOP, because the chairman of the American Nazi Party voiced his support for Trump? Here's the ANP sign:

Trump famously said “there are good people on both sides”. What he should have said about Charlottesville is “there are some really bad people on both sides”.

Only crazies support ANTIFA, KKK, neo-Nazis and their ilk. The political party they supposedly identify with wants nothing to do with them.

Hal, in 70 years I’ve not seen the country so angry and polarized and yes, I blame trump for that. His idea of leadership is to divide and conquer, his favorite tools are lies and mockery.

True but it appears that the crazies on the left are more violent.

Seriously? By what measure? How many lynchings and murders has the KKK and neo-nazis carried out to date, and how many have they threatened to kill? In contrast, I'm not aware of any murders or even serious physical attacks carried out by antifa.

Then there is the history of violence by Trump supporters against protesters at Trump rallies and against the media. Just last month the FBI arrested a Trump supporter who threatened to kill Boston Globe staff for criticizing Trump. During the Trump campaign of 2016, Katy Tur of MSNBC and a few other journalists began receiving secret service protection after serious threats by Trump supporters, the first time in history that the media needed protection at political rallies in the US.

Perhaps but in Charlottesville, it was a pretty bloody fight on both sides and a young woman was murdered and dozens of people were injured by a car driven by a white supremanist.

They all want to sweep that toe rag Dylan Roof under the carpet as well.

Another time in recent history please, one does not disprove my post. There are crazies both left and right, the left seem more prone to violence.

Well I did say “perhaps”; look back you’ll see I used Charlottesville as my example and Trump’s handling of it.

ANTIFA is not an American movement, they are global of which there is clearly an American contingent. The most recent G20 meeting in Germany had a violent ANTIFA protest against globalization, not against America’s Republicans. There are neo-Nazi organizations around the world. My point is neither party wants anything to do with these urban terrorists.

Take these groups out of the equation and I remain in the belief the extremist democrats and republicans are pretty much evenly reprehensible but I don’t see either party prone to actual violence.

Then why do I not here a voice of discontent from the leftist when the ANTIFA mob attacks?
