Jerry,
If your asking about the camera I use....it's not the camera
but 45 years of shooting with about every camera under the sun and an inner 6th sense when It comes to "seeing". I literally go into a different state of mind when I have a camera in my hands which is pretty much all the time Getting clean and sober and giving praise to Jesus in all I do has made a huge difference in everything, including most of the images
you've seen
Bruce
I was kidding about the camera. As you probably know, people often attribute the quality of a photo to the camera, rather than to the one composing and processing the shot.
You do really nice work. You should be offering courses.
Jerry, you got that right. it's not the camera, it's the vision
or eye / brain connection. I do teach on line with quite a few people, from ages 11 to70. Since your so near, that why I offered if you want to go out in the ares and explore some landscape image making, Do you have any of your images posted.....I can't help it, the more I look at your photo, the more I feel I've seen you around before?
Jerry, I apologize for not mentioning..thank you for your kind words, it's always appreciated...it's funny I can't get the right time of the day on this site, no big deal, it is what it is. It's nice when someone like yourself make a positive comment and appreciates the years of work it took to get to this state of image making...
thanks again,
Bruce

In am in
the Catskills, but in the town of Shokan, off Route 28. I've been in Catskill a handful of times, but not in the past few years.
I know Shokan for years went to Yvonne's a french restaurant in Phonicea, my dentist was in Shokan, road my bike around the reservoir a few dozen times, even had a few clients I saw there... know the area well
How did it get its name "catskill"? What does PETA say about it?

This was way back in the time of Rip Van Winkle, long before PETA, so it didn't matter.
"Kill" is a Dutch word for creek or stream, and there was a Kats (cats) Kill somewhere in the area, as mentioned on a Dutch map from the 1600's. However, there are about a dozen ideas offered for the origin of the name.
The Dutchess County town of Fishkill does not have a history of killing fish, but it did have a stream with lots of fish. :D

A few years ago we went on a cruise with another couple. Occasionally, there would be a handwritten sign: Friends of Bill meeting at 2:00 pm. After seeing the sign several times, my friend said, "This guy Bill must be really popular." I explained to him what the sign meant. :D
Where was your Katrina photo located?
Katerrskill river in Catskill, NY standing on the 9W bridge facing east. The river had crested 54 feet, a record and that photo was taken a few days after Katerina had passed

I was in Gulfport, MS for Katrina. I tend to forget Katrina affected 1/3 of the USA.
