Beautiful photo! At least you've got all the seasons to choose from. We have summer about 6 months of the year here, sometimes longer.

I've more than once asked Madame P and the Dark Ladies of the Ministry if they could come up with a weather spell, so that it could be one season all year long.

The reply is that yes, such an enchantment is within their power, but they can't agree on the best season. Madame P prefers those hot beach days, while Dark Lady Kimberly loves to ski in the deep snows of Winter, and the lovely Miss Morningstar enjoys the flowers of Spring.

They're all wrong, of course. Fall, with its color, comfortable temps, and glorious sunsets, is easily the best time of year.

But as I'm only the astronaut/custodian and not one of the magical folk here, no one listens to me, and my opinions are ignored. Even when I'm right.

Great picture. I love the winter. I don't ski anymore I will allow the Fall to place a close second. I tolerate the other seasons waiting for winter.

Very good composition, amazing light and a pleasing image Randy.
Thanks for sharing!
BTW: Isn't it more rewarding to shoot fabulous landscapes instead of those older ladies?

Spring and autumn are my favourites Randy, but do not push your opinions too much with those ladies or you could spend all the seasons ‘green’. Gorgeous download and beautiful composition, love the soft colours.

Thanks, Sylvia. Being green works out best for me during the summer, so I might change my vote according to the situation. But otherwise, I'm going with Fall, lol!

Glad you enjoyed this view of Goat Island Light. A beautiful sunset that evening, building up as I had dinner on the pier.

Thanks for stopping by and your very kind comments, always most appreciated!

Thanks, Jack. Glad you enjoyed the scene from Cape Porpoise, Maine. My favorite place to visit, and I think you can see why.

Thanks for the very kind comments and visit, always very much appreciated!

I agree with you 100% Treepusher...but if you tell them what I said... I will deny it 200%...(I'm a raccoon...but I'm not stupid ...nor brave, when it comes to the ladies )...great shot!

Thanks, Bob. Arguing with the Dark Ladies (or any other ladies, for that matter) is an exercise in futility. Only difference being that with the former, you generally end up green.

Thanks for agreeing with me (I won't tell them you did, but somehow they always know these things), and I'll save you some space on the lily pad next to me. *ribbit*

Always appreciate your visits and kind words, I'm very grateful!

Thanks, nimbushopper. Glad you enjoyed this early fall evening in Maine. Summer generally starts around July 4th up here and ends on Labor Day, when snow becomes likely at any time. Okay, maybe not quite that bad, lol. This was a very pleasant evening, temps in the low sixties, still quite comfortable.

Thanks for your very kind comments and visit, they're always very much appreciated!

Thanks, Marty. Got lucky and had a pretty sunset that night, glad you enjoyed the scene. This was taken looking at Goat Island Light in Cape Porpoise, part of Kennebunkport, Maine, one of my favorite spots.

Thanks for your very kind comment and visit, they're most appreciated!
