Beginning in the late 1940s, Barichievich began appearing as a strongman in Montreal. He first made it into the Guinness Book of World Records in 1952 by pulling a 433-tonne train 19.8 metres.

Those who argue that B&W should die have not seen your captures. This is the best series I’ve seen on this site.

Thank you mcmama. These b/w negatives have been stored away since the 80's. They're finally seeing the light of day. There are many I haven't seen since I photographed them. I gave up my darkroom in 2000.
