The exposure is spot on and the light is wonderful. I think that I would love to see some more detail in the face of the animal; but that might just put everything else, which is so nice, out of balance. So I totally understand why you left it the way it is. I agree with the others that this is a very good photo and it has a huge appeal for sense of place. Nicely done.
