Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jennifer, I live in So Cal. I am married and have 2 kids and 2 cats that you will probably be seeing more of :) I am an armature photographer, trying to move up the ranks to pro. I am starting in the Kids Sport Photo World...love capturing those candid action shots! I don't have really know anything about the technical stuff, just love to take photos. I have been reading some threads here and am learning quite a bit, thank you for that!

Hi Jenifer,and welcome to the HOG. #1 pic shows no action with the sand coming up it looks a bit like the catcher is trying to make a tag,but i'm not sure.#2 your beautiful girl is just not clear,but i like the shot.#3 also doesn't show enough action,has the batter just hit the ball or just having a practice swing?this is just my opinion..please keep posting you work,i would love to see more

Hello jenniferm welcome to the hog. There is nothing wrong with the pictures you posted, they are very cool candids your daughter is beautiful. she has great expression, do more of her.

Thanks everyone.

The grainy photos were on purpose. I like that :)

The catcher was catching a ball. It hit the dirt. It's kind of an HD effect to see all the dirt coming up like that. You can see the edge of it if you look.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. It will only help me improve as I move forward.

I also have a T3i and love it as well now post some pictures when you get a chance. Also think about getting a Nifty Fifty lens which is a fun one and does a good job as well.
