My son is an avid mountain bike enthusiast. His enthusiasm got him involved with the San Antonio linear creek and greenways that former mayor Howard Peak, also an enthusiast, championed and served as chairman of the volunteer group involved in promoting more hiking and biking trails throughout San Antonio. Greg has become chairman of the committee after Howard retired. I stopped by one of the trail heads to take some pictures and low and behold the battery in the camera was dead and no backup with me. Lucky me I hadn't forgotten my phone.
