I envy your trip to the Smokies this fall. I hope you find good color. It has been unusually wet this season in the mountains, and that can affect the color. I have a summer home in western NC (Maggie Valley), and have experienced everything from breathtaking to fizzle. I remember one year, when the leaves just turned brown and fell off the trees.

jeanbug, be assured that no one is going to be bored with viewing images like yours. But you've got a problem: with already capturing such dramatic pix, how're you going to top yourself?
Or maybe you're planning to use these as inspiration?

Very good set Jean! Used to do a lot of camping and backpacking in the Smokies. Favorite time was October.
