I wish highways had more overlooks. So often the area is propitious but no money was spent on a little parking area.

Plan in advance and rent a cabin, to stay a couple days...(preferably fall). Along with your wide angles, for panoramas-- take at least 1 big zoom. the wildlife is everywhere...

Driving by a local reservoir early one morning, I thought I saw a cormorant.
#69 shows the "overlook" from the county park road.
#74 is a zoom shot with higher f-stop # and a little post edit tweeking...
I guess it wasn't a cormorant... (eyes are getting old)
but I liked it anyways...
