Do any one use the SnapBridge that nikon introduced , I do not like it as it uses to much battery power, tried airplane mode to help and called nikon for support but for the most part just uses to much battery power, any suggestions? Fun to use for email, Facebook ect. But I can do this by sd card exchange any way.thanks steve
Snapbridge has too many fatal flaws to be useful. I'm a network engineer, I'm expert at troubleshooting network problems. The problem with snapbridge, it's too slow- using almost antique connection speeds. It doesn't give you an option it just uploads every shot, every time -even the bad shots.
If you really want to use it, try changing to jpg only and select one of the smallest size. Uploading 24 megabit pics takes much too long at that slow speed. If you change size and quality to the minimum, 2992x2000 (6 mb) image size with basic quality is only 776 kb (less than 1 mb) it should upload quickly and show OK on a smart phone. That smaller size is still bigger than most computer screens (1920x1080)
I needed the remote shutter feature and Snapbridge wouldn't get her done. A got a CamFi and it works wonderfully and uploads images to my tablet quickly.
Thanks I have it off airplane to stop all pictures from downloading , nikon support says you can chose but even then it uses to much battery anyway. I just use the sd card and down load what I chose mostly on iPad then I can email , facebook or what ever I want. Thanks steve any advice on a web site for pictures ?
Great pictures , I enjoyed the pictures from Quincy , was born there .
Snapbridge works fine for me. I use it mostly to get GPS loc. and an occasional photo to share with others. I shoot RAW. When I want to download one or two pics I convert only those to jpg, then download only those best shots in 2 meg size to share. When done for the day, I take the SD card to my computer to get all the pics.

I use it quite a bit with my D7500 and Samsung Note 8. The D7500 has both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. The Bluetooth connection is used for low volume data transfer such as GPS info and instant transfer of pictures. The file size is limited to 2MB and BT is not the fastest protocol.
On the other hand, when WiFi is enabled, you can control your camera remotely and you can also transfer files at their original site, now squeezed through a straw. I find that I get about 1MB/sec transfer rate through WiFi, so a 6MB JPEG takes about 6-7 seconds.
I do not use the auto upload feature, I go back and select the pictures I want to send to my Note 8. It's quite fast. When I have dozens or hundreds of pictures to upload, I connect my D7500 to my Note 8 via USB or for fastest transfer, I use a USB 3.1-connected card reader to transfer the files to the SD card in my Note 8.
