Nikon D750 past recalls
I don't know where to look to see if this issue has been posted before, I have been toying with upgrading my D700. I've
spent two evenings reading about recalls, 3 for the same problem of lens flaring and then shutter issues. I'm having alot of
problems pulling the trigger with a D750 purchase. I have a fair amount of money invested in Nikon glass so I don't want to change
systems. Has Nikon corrected all these issue? Any D750 shooters care to ease my frayed nerves after reading all of these reports?
I don't think a D810 is my answer.
Thanks in advance.
Harry
I’m pretty sure they’ve fixed the problem. I just bought a used D750 and checked the serial number on Nikon’s site and found that my camera isn’t affected. So if you buy new or used, you’ll be okay if you check the serial number. I love the camera!
Harryd - A good friend of mine and part-time pro photographer, bought a D750 well over a year ago. He has not experienced any problems related to recall issues. He has a good relationship with a local Green Bay brick & mortar camera store and they have been gracious regarding any need he has had. You might want to cultivate something similar to protect your understandably large cash investment. Best wishes with your new camera. — Ralph

You have your answer already. But since you want to
soothe frayed nerves, I spoze "piling on" is beneficial.
I bought a new 750 a little over a year ago and I did
check the s/n at the Nikon site: NO ISSUES !! Enjoy
your improved mental health :-)

The Photokina show starts in two days (Sept.26-29). I would wait to see if there are any new announcements. The D750 was introduced in 2014. It's due for an upgrade. Both the D610 and D750 are getting old and should be updated.

Yes, Nikon has corrected all the known issues. I have a D-750 purchased over 1 year ago, upgrading from a D-300 witch I still own, and the D-750 works flawlessly - before buying it I checked with Nikon's website and at the time, pulled the trigger and bought it. I'm very happy with the camera and had no issues so far. It is a great camera! If is that's what you want, go for it.
Don't let its 2014ishness bother you, it has been a great camera for thousands of photographers for 4 years. Yes, wait for another week, but don't hesitate to get the D750 if nothing in the line of an upgrade to it surfaces at Photokina.
The good news is that if you get a camera that does have issues, the odds are much higher that Nikon will fix them for free.
I've had my D750 for several years and have over 10K shots without problems. It is a fantastic camera you will not be disappointed.

Just checked Nikon's website and they have a refurbished D750 on sale for $1,299.95. If it had any issues, then they have been fixed. Might also check Adorama or B&H since they ofter have refurbs and will match any price Nikon has on them. Can also get a longer warranty.
Thank you all for your input. I will wait a few days for the Photokina show to pass. I don't need the newest and latest camera technology but it would be interesting to see if they upgrade the D750. I still love my D700 and will keep it for a backup. My mental health has been restored! God bless you all.
My D750 was under recall for the shutter issue. Nikon USA fixed it at no charge, along with cleaning and a few other things. I never had any problems with functionality before or since sending to Nikon. Great camera. No complaints at all.
Harry, my daughter has a nice professional business using her D750. She, I believe, bought it Refurbished from Nikon and has not had any problems at all. I can vouch for the Nikon Df and the D850 but it sounds like you have already narrowed your sights on the D750. If you get one, I anticipate that you will enjoy it.
I bought a new D750 just over a year ago never had any problems. I wouldn’t thing twice to buy another one,its a great
