In another area a fellow with a heart of gold years ago bought many acres of prairie land and established a sanctuary for herds of wild horses that roam free. The horse sanctuary exists on donations, and you can adopt a horse, give it a name. In addition to the grass, hay feed is brought in by huge vans. Ponds and streams provide all the water they need. Truly, a sanctuary of protection for one of the finest animals on the planet.
