SOLD -Sigma 180mm f/3.5 EX DG IF HSM APO Macro Lens for Nikon SLR Cameras $425.00 - SOLD
This lens is used but in like new condition. Some of the product features are:
Floating Inner Focusing System
Fully compatible with all Nikon Digital SLR cameras including the D40 and D40X
It is possible to use 1.4x or 2x Sigma Apo Tele Converters
Use of SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass
Inner Focus
I have included a B+W 72mm UV/haze XS-Pro Digital filter and a 6 inch Arca Swiss compatible rail that you will need to mount on a tripod.
Features on the filter:
This filter uses our XS-Pro Digital mount which is especially suited for DSLRs with wide angle and zoom lenses. It has a front thread for additional accessories. All XS-Pro Digital mounts are made of brass and are matte black to prevent reflections.
MRC Nano has an improved outer (8th) layer over regular MRC. The nanotechnology based characteristic (lotus effect) produces a better beading effect with water making the cleaning of this filter even simpler and faster than ever before.
Manufactured from Water-White Schott Glass .
Comes with the original Sigma case.
I have the Sony mount version of this lens. It has been my 'go to' macro lens for about 2 years.
Very sharp and the long minimum focus distance allows for easy lighting of subjects.
As it happens, I shoot with a Sigma 1.4X TC on the lens ~90% of the time and it works great.
It lets me get frame filling shots of larger subjects like butterflies and dragonflies without getting so close they are spooked and fly off.
If you shoot Nikon and like macro, buy this lens, price is right in my opinion.
Disclaimer, I don't know WayneT, I just wanted to recommend the lens to anyone interested.
I'm interested, is this still available? Do you take Paypal? Does price include shipping? And finally, why are you letting it go?
Yes it's still available, I do take PayPal and I'll cover the shipping. I'm parting with it very reluctantly because I have been diagnosed with macular degeneration and although my sight is reasonably good I can no longer critically manually focus with any of my lenses. This really hurt because I was doing mostly macro work where I always used manual focus even though this lens has a very good autofocus built in it was a habit of mine. I'm also having trouble working on the computer with PS and Lightwave.
WayneT,
I'm very sorry hear it.
I'd like to lock this sale down. I've PMd you with particulars.

Congrats, I used to own this lens and it is an excellent performer, I liked it better than the Canon 180L.
