Geez Bill, that's an impressive collection. Are those just the keepers or everything you've collected.

I seal them up with desiccant packets in ziplocks if I'm not going to use them for a while.

Those are the keepers. I am always torn between saving some weight and having a nice wide aperture, so there are some duplicates as far as focal length. My first three Nikon lenses from over 20 years ago are still on the top shelf and still get used. They went with an F100, and work just as well today on a D850.

I store my lenses and accessories in wood boxes. I buy the boxes at Hobby Lobby and then build the interiors to fit. All of the dividers are screwed to the case so I can make changes as needed. When I am going out I just open the case(es), select what I need and put them in my case. My house is heated and air-conditioned so i don’t have a problem with moisture.

I thought about a wine box but with most I've seen the dividers seem too thin, to my way of thinking.

I keep them in camera bags with desiccant.

That looks good, Dave. But I might suggest CO's idea about the desiccant, too. I once bought a 400mm lens that had been stored in its box in a closet for some time. It looked brand new, absolutely perfect. Until I looked thru it. Never saw so much fungus in my life.

I use these from Harbor Freight for cameras, lens, model trains etc.

The interior can be fully customized to ones needs.

I keep my cameras and lenses in separate coolers with a desiccant inside. Periodically I expose the gear to sunlight BUT it is never done immediately after exposing the lenses to ambient temperature and I take precautions for condensation.
A little bit of sunlight on them (lenses) helps to fight fungus.

You did a nice job with that. Is that felt material where the lenses rest?

First time I've seen this topic. Very informative.

Rather than spend $150-to $200 on a dehumidifier case I oped for the Desiccant Packets(Rechargeable) from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Packets-Premium-Silica-Desiccant-Dehumidifiers/dp/B073DJSRTT/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1537708007&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=desiccant&psc=1

For $11.00 I get 50 packs plus some cards. I can put them in each lens bag and in my camera bag. What I like about them is that they change color when they start to absorb moisture. Then change them out and they are rechargeable in the microwave. A win-win situation for just $11.00

I have a big padded camera travel bag (size of a small suitcase) in which there are foam dividers. I store my bodies and lenses in that. I bought some lenses that were supplied in their own zippered storage containers so I can use those as well.

Longer term storage of lenses and bodies; I use an old China cabinet.
