Very nice series of shots. Don't ever put that camera down.

I am 92 years old, in hospice care for terminal cancer and I still enjoy life. I can still sit on my front and back porches and shoot pictures of whatever wild life comes around. My hands are still as steady as they were 50 years ago...good because I have no tripod. I have only the beginners pp program that came with my camera so I only shoot jpegs and sometimes touch them up a little bit and do a lot of cropping. I want to show you a few bird shots I took last evening just before sunset. The light kept changing so I used manual with auto ISO....something I learned from you hedgehogs. You will have to excuse the bird poop on the wall ( some one is bound to mention it) because I have no tool to get rid of it. My daughter washes it off about once a week...probably tomorrow. So here goes! (Sony RX10IV)

This is a well done set and makes me want to see much more of this wonderful view from your porches, in all kinds of light! I shoot a lot of birds and I am jealous of your quail shots. I honor the spirit you have expressed here. Please continue to share more of the beauty you see.
Regards, Phil
Wonderful images, so glad you shared these with us.
Sir you have taken very nice shots. Love your positive attitude that is what keeps you going.
I salute your spirit. Nice images, too.
You have a wonderful eye and sense of beauty. Thanks for sharing it with us. My house is in the migration flyway and there are times I can sit in my back yard and just wait for the beautiful birds to pass through. Kind of quiet now but they're coming. Keep our eyes open and share when you can. Much appreciated.

Great series ditchdigger, keep posting, thanks for sharing
It is too difficult for me to thank you all individually for taking the time to look and for your kind words, but know that I sincerely appreciate it. Just about everything I have learned about taking photographs has been through reading your informative posts on Ugly Hedgehog for the last six months. Thank you all for passing on your knowledge to newbies like me. It has kept me going!

Great shots ditchdigger, poop is what birds do. What a lovely view you have. All the best to you..
Hello ditchdigger aka Sir,
I love these photos but my favorite of all is the Mama Quail! She is spectacular!
Thank you for posting her!
Keep up the good work and posting!

Nice set and respect your determination. Keep them coming.
Great shots Mr. Digger. You made my morning, so your photos are keeping some other people going too.
The quails are great. My father in law, (also 92) has a family of them on his farm out west, but they are way to skittish for me to photograph.
Thanks for sharing!
excellent set!
Keep them coming.
