Sitting in the blind by the feeders. I've tried to get this shot for some time, but the doves have eluded me. They will scatter if they hear me open the back door of the house, or not come around any time I'm in the blind. They're low contrast due to their coloration. Until yesterday none of the shots I'd taken had either the composition or definition I wanted. I was watching one of the hummers at the feeder and noticed this dove land on the bird bath. I got one shot and it was gone. Thought I'd share. Have A Blessed Day !!!
Nice shot. My dove population is somewhat used to me. Still shy but not like the once were.

Thank You Ken. Mine are still extremely skittish. Probably because of the 2 sets of red shouldered hawks near the house, who for the most part have also eluded me.
And so glad you did share this beautiful shot, Uncle Buck! The lighting is lovely, and it's most likely those two hawks that are making your doves wary rather than you.

Thank You do much Donna, I do believe that’s a lot of the problem.
Thank You very much Chuckwal.
Good shot, UncleBuck! When we're at the bird blind, the dove population is amazing..they're everywhere!
That is a very nice shot of a dove, Uncle Buck!

Thank You Sue, about 7 or 8 pairs frequent my feeders, but they never come around if I’m in the blind.
