The Scott Farm offers educational programs and workshops also hosting the Stone Trust, a foundation
dedicated to teaching the art of dry-stone walling.
These images show the work of those attending the various classes.
We were amazed to see the work and design of these walls.
Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for posting these. It looks very interesting to be able to build stone walls with no cement.
I have seen some walls similar to these around the country side here in the western part of Va.

Hi Will. The pictures are good but in person....off the charts. I didn't know what we stumbled on at first but
as we wondered the property it was overwhelming with beauty and detail in these works.
Can't wait to go back in October.

In Vermont most farmers used stone walls to define property lines.

Yes, riding through the back, dirt roads and looking into the woods seeing many stone walls, similar to
the ones that are built by students at the farm. Amazing. Thanks for coming by and contributing to
the information.

I have spent a great deal of time in the Brattleboro, Putney area but never heard of this place. Will have to go see it next time I am up there.

Wow! There are hundreds of miles of old stone walls in this area. Nothing fancy, though

One can see the remnants of stacked stone walls of the type in photo 5 in many parts of middle Tennessee in and around the Nashville basin. With the current trend to use natural stone on many high-end houses, I think many have been ravaged by folks looking for easily accessible stone for that architectural use. 😔😞
