Just outside of Billings is the Pictograph Cave. Rock drawings date from 2100 years ago to the Settlement era. I pushed the contrast, clarity and saturation to enhance the pictographs so you could see the story. The vertical lines across the bottom are Indians facing what at first glance was a Buffalo, but when the enhancements were done, you can clearly see a human profile. The middle lines are graphical depictions of Winchester 6 shot repeaters (the loop under the barrel matches the repeating lever). This must depict a fight with Settlers or the Army. The answer is somewhere in the dark recesses of history.
