Actually a Nectar mattress is memory foam and not a "pillowtop". We bought a reversible pillowtop for about $1200 and it was deformed within about three years. I researched memory foam mattresses for months and we finally purchased a Dromma for around $790 for a queen size. Liked it so much we purchased a second one for the house and couldn't be happier. Actually between the two Dromma purchases we also bought and returned the Layla mattress. My wife is very picky about mattresses and she absolutely loves Dromma, even now a year later.... we both do. The Nectar is made in China while the Dromma is USA made and the quality and appearance is outstanding compared to the Nectar whose fabric appears kind of wrinkled in all the pics I saw. If you purchase a Dromma they give you about 200 nights trial period and if you don't like it they will pick it up and give a full refund.

We bought a pillow top mattress from a local chain store. The seller told us the top was a gel foam mix so it would not be hot. Paid almost $1000 and HATE it. Pillow top crushed down and had big valley within two weeks. Gel foam top is very hot and uncomfortable. Overall unit is way too hard for me. Next ordered one from Wayfair for about $300 and like it much better. I really miss my old waterbed.

I have back problems, arthritic spine, aches and pains in joints, etc. For me, a very firm, plain-Jane, inexpensive but properly built mattress, works best. We have (had) a local manufacturer (Clearwater Mattress) that produces, delivers, sets-up and takes away the old mattress. I have found that pillow-top, fancy name brand, and High-tech offerings are just EXPENSIVE inferior products/gimmics. I stick with simplicity.

Please look into SAATVA brand mattresses. 15 year warranty compared to 10 with Serta or Simmons. I am glad I
got Saatva mattress. And they are usa made.

We bought a queen size mattress topper from my favorite pillow($300). They were right it works but the bed is too high now! They stand behind a refund but only if you show them proof of donating it to a charity. Wish I could put the box spring on the floor. They gave us 2 very good pillows too.

I had been sleeping on a Temperpedic mattress for about 15 years and my back started to bother, so I purchased a Nectar. I had to send it back after 3 months as it too was uncomfortable. Quick refund in full. I'm back on the Temperpedic, sleeping in the opposite direction on the mattress and it is doing well. I think it all boils down to personal preference, and we are fortunate that many mattress companies now allow months of sleeping to test out the comfort. Now, if we could do the same with automobiles and maybe even houses, that would be great.
