Most pictures of sailboats have the sails filled and the lines taught. But a fair amount of sailing is in light winds with the boat barely moving. These shots were taken on Monterey bay near Santa Cruz CA. The winds were light coming from the south, the boat moving about 1 to 2 knots. We had just rounded the leeward mark and hoisted the spinnaker. We had hoped that the wind would fill in but it never did and we eventually drop the sail and motored in.
Really nice captures, lgar. Sailing is an adventure! and Monterey bay is one of my favorite places to be!
