We made our third trip this week through the park today. Saw ten burros all eagerly looking for handouts and following people like puppy dogs. Also a very large herd of bison were grazing on both sides of the road with some standing in the road for minutes at a time before deciding to move. All in all, a very good day. Tomorrow the adventure ends as we head for home.

Thank you Medoitham. I thought the bird might be a vulture but I wasn't sure. I knew it wasn't an eagle.
Lucky you--I saw nothing, save some buffalo far off in a field and one deer when we were there.

There are a lot of them in the Black Hills. They look good from this far away, but very ugly up close. Great photo.
No, this is an American Eagle! Turkey Vaulters have a featherless head and wider feather wing spread.
