New to the site.
I am looking forward to having another community of photographers to work with. I am currently a member of a camera club, taking intermediate level classes, and getting ready for a solo photography exhibit. While I enjoy the technical side of things, my true passion involves creating images that bring attention to those things that are common place and sometimes ignored. Have you ever truly looked at wasp and so the beauty of its shape and colors? What about everyday objects like a sewing machine or a keyboard? Bringing out the beauty in the mundane, forgotten, or even sometimes scary is where I like to go.

Welcome, interesting perspective. I'll want to see some of your images. This site / blog / group does tend to be a bit tech or gear heavy, but many of us do appreciate images, composition, and actual photographs. See and subscribe to the Gallery and other "image" sections.

Looking forward to viewing your images.
Welcome to the forum!

Welcome aboard! And I agree 100% with finding "art" in common and everyday objects. What you *see* may be entirely different than what the rest of us see - or, more than likely - have completely overlooked. A different viewpoint or perspective, emphasis, or attention to a particular detail. Sometimes it is just going out in the weather when everyone else is hunkered down, other times, just getting closer than other photographers/observers do and noticing those details. Turn the common, the everyday, into something *you* only see. Shoot what you want, what *turns you on*, what you love - or hate. And share your vision. It is entirely possible that nobody else has that same vision, and they cannot duplicate it.
Welcome to the Hog, enjoy.
Looking forward to seeing your out of the box thinking. I love that! Welcome to this forum.
