This is aimed specifically at Fujifilm users. It might or might not apply to other brands. Just a heads up. My Takamur lens, when used with an adapter on my X-T2 wound up with the aperture and distance scale at the 1500 position. To adjust this, I found out you can loosen the set screws around the outer edge and turn it so the scale is facing up so you can see it. Also, I just got a used Takamur 300mm and found that when I queried the info on the picture (in Photos on my Mac) it did not list the 300mm even tho that is what I used. Apparently you have to remember to change that info in the camera menus under mount adapter settings in the shooting menu. Hope this info helps someone.
Appreciate this information regarding the TAKUMAR lens. What brand of adapter are you using, just out of curiosity? Are the set screws you mentioned on the lens or on the adapter? Thanks. — Ralph
I’m using a Kipon adapter. The set screws are on the adapter at the end that the lens screws into.
Yup, most of these screw mount adapters appear to be 'adjustable' as you describe. My Fuji X Pro1 arrived today (woo-hoo!!!), and the first lens I popped on it (via an adapter) was a collapsible 50mm f/2 Leica Summitar. Focus tab, dof markings and aperture markings were way off. Like you, I loosened the set screws, rotated the lens to where everything oriented correctly, and tightened the screws back down. Tried a few other LTM lenses and found a couple would like a little aligning, but rather than doing that for each lens, I figure as inexpensive as they are, I'll just pick up a couple more adapters and align them for specific lenses. Nikon Ai/G lens adapter orients a lens as it should, and works like a champ.
This Fuji stuff is nine kinds of fun. And results (though certainly nothing I'd want to post yet) are amazing!

I am, at the moment awaiting delivery of adapters for a Sony ML camera to take my Leica lenses. The Summitar f/2. will not collapse (it used to). The lens rotates to the collapse position, but will not slide down to collapse. Better that way, than not able extend to the shooting position. Looking forward to using my five Leica lenses again. Have an adapter for the Nikon DSLR body, but only capable for close-up shots.
My K&F Concepts X to PK adapter was off the index a slight amount, maybe 3 - 5 degrees. Even though these adapters are very affordable, one would think the assembly process would include an alignment step that ensured the lens-side mounts were properly indexed before they were finished and packaged.

Congratulations Jim. I have been using the X-T2 for about a year now. Love it. Enjoy your new toy. Neil
I boycott anything Fuji after they fail to allow other firms to continue producing the 3x4 peel-apart instant film...and in future likely not to make it easy for their other film stocks to be made.
What damage would have been done to let the peel-apart continue...now instead, the inferior Instax. Their discontinuing film stocks is also troublesome considering their recent manufacturing of high grade film cameras.
Am no film purist, using both analog and digital...but hey!...how about support of loyal customers? Apparently it's all business according to Fuji. When your XT takes a crap and the lack of support bums you out, maybe you'll remember this post.
