Iv'e just found this on Google and it looks very much like the unknown flower it's an Iris.So i'm guessing that my flower is some kind of Iris a slightly different colour and do stand to be corrected. :thumbup: :thumbup:

It does look like your Ladys slipper Swede,i went back to the area i took it,just up the road from me but ther where no Rangers about to ask bout it so i'm no wiser really,i though it might be a member of the Iris family but i'm not so sure now.Thanks for taking the time to look in. :thumbup: :thumbup:

It has two common names in the u.k Himalayan Balsam and American Balsam, sorry can't remember the the Latin. Hope this helps.

Remembered!! Impatiens Glandulifera, it's now become a weed on our waterways, but it's great fun for the kid's when the seed pods are ripe, they pop when you touch them making everyone jump. Would make a good action shot.
