Thomas, These two women look very much alike, are they sisters or twins? Or is this the magic of digital editing? Great image by the way, I am fond of the black background.

Lovely young ladies, well lit, and expertly posed. Just for thought, would cloning out the tattoo, and necklace, make the image even stronger, perhaps timeless?

"look very much alike..." Lens Cap the same makeup artist did their "look" which was "clean beauty" i.e. bridal...
btw, my mentor for rendering in post taught me that if the image appears "retouched" you have failed...
I've endeavored to remain true to her wisdom for many years now.... I strive to keep it "real"...

",,,fond of the black background..." it is black velvet which I've had for many decades... the ultimate in negative fill...

"...cloning out the tattoo..." olsonsview that would render the image virtually uses for this talent's book... at the agency level it absolutely must be real... When a talent shows up for a casting or on set he/she has to appear a mirror of the imagery which the agency may have used to promote them... Possibly the only exception are "tearsheets" from publications in which it is assumed artistic license could have been used to achieve a specific narrative... To work as an agency testing photographer there are protocols that must be strictly adhered to...

As for the necklace? There are others in this series that showcase the entire necklace which was a gift from her fiancé... She actually requested it be included... Since this was a creative test all team members have equal say in the narrative...

That said, you are correct in your inference... if it were a commercial shoot it would have needed to be a short "choker" There are others in this series which showcase the entire necklace for her albeit are too revealing to be posted on the internet... i.e. personal use only...

Thank you both for taking the time to review and thoughtfully reflect... greatly appreciated...

truckster you are far too kind... I appreciate you taking the time to review and reflect...
btw, this image was entirely a team effort... I am only one player in the mix... no more important than any of the others...
again, many thanks!

Cliff thank you for reviewing and reflecting on these performing artists' image...
Your thoughts mean a lot to me coming from a commercial photographer skilled in portraiture...
And one with CPP certification...
Again, all team members contributed equally here...
It is only through their aggregate synergy that this image was possible...
